VerifID confirms the current affiliation of staff and students to a UK federation-connected academic institution for commercial student and staff discount services. The system will return ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answers to the query of affiliation along with a timestamp and an opaque identifier for the user. No other information will be provided as part of the verification process.

23. eduPersonScopedAffiliation values
This SP requires the eduPersonScopedAffiliation attribute to release the student affiliation for users that the organisation identifies as being students. This may require additional configuration by IdP operators.
