The Archival Sound Recordings service currently makes over 4,000 hours of digitised audio recordings available freely to the Higher Education and Further Education communities within the United Kingdom.

The British Library is also undertaking the Archival Sound Recordings 2 project funded by the JISC. This will make a further 4,200 hours of digitised recordings and associated materials available to the same community through the existing service.
