This collection provides access to thousands of items selected from the John Johnson Collection of Printed Ephemera, offering unique insights into the changing nature of everyday life in Britain in the eighteenth, nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

The John Johnson Collection is widely recognised as one of the most important collections of printed ephemera in the world and generally regarded as the most significant single collection of ephemera in the UK. This resource is the product of a unique partnership between the Bodleian Library and ProQuest supported by the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) through its Digitisation Programme. It is available free of charge to all UK universities, further education institutions, schools and public libraries.
